The suburban Cleveland-based NTN Bearings Polestar Atlantic team, with driver #84 Jonathan Macri, is positioned for a front-running performance in this weekend’s CART Toyota Atlantic race at the Grand Prix of Cleveland presented by U.S. Bank.

After coming off a disappointing weekend in Portland where Macri finished 8th, the team is looking to turn things around with a win on the 2.106 – mile circuit at the Burke Lakefront Airport track.

“We are trying to close the gap this weekend in Cleveland, “ said Macri. “Since this is Polestar’s hometown track, it will be extremely important to have a good race here. I really enjoy racing on this track. The runways are so wide that we can make some daring passes that we couldn’t normally pull off at other tracks.”

NTN Bearings Polestar Atlantic is looking forward to running a winning race in front of a hometown crowd. The team is based in Chardon, Ohio, just about 45- minutes outside of Cleveland city proper.

“Cleveland is a special race for us,” said Jim Griffith, co-owner of Polestar Atlantic. “While every race is important, we’re hoping to do especially well in front of our friends and family members who will be joining us this weekend. We have been successful in the past here and hope to build on that tradition.”

***Qualifying & race results will be posted on www.jonathanmacri.com.
