Jonathan Macri placed 5th in the opening practice round of the Cleveland Grand Prix today. Hosting the race is the Burge Lakefront Airport, notorious for its bumpy and wide track, which makes the temporary course very different from the tracks run earlier in the season. Despite the differences, Macri and his NTN Bearings team showed that they came into the race prepared and ready to win.

“I think this session went reasonably well”, Macri stated. “ I’m happy with the car and feel we made some good changes and are headed in a good direction for the qualifying session. The track is great when you have a great car.”

Macri will return to the track this evening for the provisional qualifying session. The 40-minute session takes the green flag at 6:40 p.m. EST.
