(Gormley, Ontario) August 26, 2003 Jonathan Macri heads to Colorado this weekend for the Grand Prix of Denver looking to hold on to his third place point standings in the race for the Toyota Atlantic Championship. Currently, Macri is tied for third with Michael Valiante with 124 points.
We are really look for a win before the end of the season, said Macri. The team is looking forward to racing on a street course once again; we tend to do well on street courses such as Denver. We are just going to go hard this weekend and give it all we have to obtain that podium finish.
This weekend will begin with a 30 minute practice session Friday morning, August 29, followed by a provisional qualifying session at 1:45 p.m. EST. Saturday begins with a second practice session at 9:15 a.m. before the final qualifying session at 3:30 EST. Round eleven of the Toyota Atlantic Championship race is scheduled to begin at 110:30 a.m. EST on Sunday, August 31. The Speed channel will broadcast the race at 1:30 p.m. EST tape-delayed Sunday.
